Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work describes the development of a three-dimensional laser scanner. This is a machine capable of scanning a physical object through images captured by a digital camera, a laser beam and the triangulation’s principle. The scanner’s algorithm makes use of image processing and triangulation calculations to determine the 3D coordinates of the object’s points. The control program of electronic devices and actuators was developed in Labview to make the implementation easy and composse of different system components, being actuators driven by an Arduino in conjunction with a current driver designed during the project. The measurement principles and mathematical modeling of the system are presented in this work. As results we got point clouds from the scanned objects, but we propose an improvement of the materials and methods to obtain better results, in order to get closer to state-of-the-art and high quality commercial solutions.pt_BR
