Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work is part of Discourse Analysis area and focuses on discussing the women's image that was made through the analysis of six advertisements, arranged in three groups; the first is related to ads produced in the 30s, the second is related to ads produced in the 40s and the third is related to ads produced during the 50s and 60s. With this analysis, we aim to point out how the advertising productions portraying female images were reestructured due to the historic advent occurred between 1940 and 1945 (World War II), that mobilized the workforce for industries during the absence of the male social portion. Based on Bakhtin's (2006), Pêcheux's (1995; 1998) and Foucault's (2008) ideas on discourse and ideology, the analysis of these six advertisements discusses the differences that permeate the representations of women in a forty-year period (1930-1970)pt_BR
