Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis article aims to approach in an introductory and conceptual way, the problem of the formation and development of the relationship between language and culture in an intercultural perspective, and takes as its starting point the sociocultural content, focusing on aspects of otherness. The field analysis starts from the approach of mobilizing the learner to discover himself and the other one by the challenges that must be faced, the literature. In this perspective, the objective is to analyze the importance of the intercultural approach in the teaching of French as a Foreign Language - FLE, regarding learning the target language from the source reference: language and culture. His involvement lies in two points: the existence of cultural diversity, with a view of globalization, and understanding by his apprentices, two elements: an active thinking and intercultural communication; in the development of otherness, which enables efficiency in the relationship among apprentices for this company. For this, the approach is based on the theory of communication, which allows analyzing the cross-cultural studies - the contribution of concepts, as that size the cultural component in the teaching-learning process.pt_BR
