Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe proposal with this research was to identify the main difficulties and highlighted limitations when applying additional support classes for students of 6th year in called Learning Support Rooms, more specifically in cases where media as a method for teaching are used. This type of support room was created to help elementary school students who have difficulties in basic math, and it should have learned in the early grades. The room is offered by support in complementary time so that the student does not miss his lectures in the series he is enrolled. This is a survey of literature and qualitative basis, whereby was surveyed the perceptions of teachers on the results obtained with the practice of supplementary mathematics teaching for students with learning limitations. The opinion of respondents indicated some difficulties encountered by teachers as the fatigue of students because it is a period of complementary time and their own limitations to find the best way to motivate them to learn. Moreover, the use of modern technologies in education appears as a possible alternative to improve learning outcomes. For this study also considered the fact that the researcher author works with environments similar to those studied can compare their perceptions with evidence pointed to research.pt_BR
