Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work had as its Theme High skills and Giftedness: a reflection on the topic. This bibliographical research sought to identify the social and interactive behavior of students with high abilities and giftedness, which has school and affective relationship with other people, among them family, their social relations. In this way, through a bibliographical research it was possible to conclude that many gifted students suffer from learning problems and relationship in the school environment. Thus, it was possible to find strong evidence that this problem is arising out of lack of knowledge and understanding on the part of professionals of education and also in the family environment. Throughout this study, therefore, sought to establish that the affectivity, in many cases, enhances the social contact, affective and school of gifted students, making these, fully develop your skills without losing the characteristics common to their ages. The study revealed that with the construction of an affective environment and more knowledge for the detection of such symptoms, the family and, especially, the school community have key roles in the formation and development of cognitive and social gifted students may develop a quality education.pt_BR
