Resumo: dc.description.abstractUrban population growth in recent decades has brought a big impact to the urban areas, as in the reduction of permeable areas in cities, as the impacts caused by the accelerated building construction to complete this demand. Therefore the use of green roofs may emerge as an alternative to contest some of the effects of the actual urban density, such as the reduction of heat islands, improving the quality of air and water environments, and the quality of the buildings. Green roofs are a millenary construction technique, and in recent decades have taken an increasingly sustainable connotation producing a lower environmental impact compared to conventional roofing systems. So the paper analyzes seven construction systems ranging from conventional roofing precast slab and ceramic covers to propose the use of green roof wooden structure, or on a precast slab. Tables of composition and quantification of these 7 roofing materials systems were analyzed to then calculate the values of embodied energy (MJ) and CO2 emissions. However you can compare among the seven systems which would have the lowest impact in terms of embodied energy and CO2. The conclusion was that the three green roof systems have indices of EE and CO2 smaller than conventional roofing tile with the slab, thus being an efficient alternative to the coverage ceramic slab, from the viewpoint of reduced environmental impact.pt_BR
