Resumo: dc.description.abstractBecause we are going through a period of growing global energy demand, electricity plays a key role in the energy matrix, because it is a very flexible form of energy as its shape, transport and intensity, can be converted with high efficiency and produced through various ways. Some alternative and innovative ways are being used to this growing demand. Today is the big breakthrough since the concept of distributed generation, which is nothing more than the generation of electricity close to the consumer, who has brought numerous advantages over centralized generation that is heavily used today. Based on this concept and taking into account the environmental damage that some forms of electricity generation have presented, the generation of electricity through solar energy is being propagated with the promise of generating a clean and clean, which bring the minor possible damage to the environment. Despite these promises innovative, generating electricity through solar energy, which is done through photovoltaic panels, still unable to reach a convincing cost-benefit ratio and that's actually worth the investment, this type of generation has very high installation costs compared to other renewable sources. Thus, maximizing the production of electricity coming from photovoltaic sources becomes imperative to pay off in a shorter time to the high cost of installation. Thus, this paper proposes the study and development of a static converter with high performance and high voltage gain in order to minimize the number of stages of energy conversion and thus increase the efficiency of photovoltaic generation systems electrical energy.pt_BR
