As políticas públicas para a inserção do deficiente físico no mercado de trabalho, no município de Itapetininga – SP

Abstract

This work has as main objective to analyze focused on the integration of disabled people into the labor market in Itapetininga public policy. This research aims to contribute to the planning of public policies that may be used by city management. For better understanding of the proposed issue, we sought to initially conduct a survey of the main theoretical aspects of public policy, social inclusion, as well as the definition of disability, as well as the presentation of disability in Brazil and Itapetininga in numbers and percentages. To achieve the objectives of this work, the development of the research was conducted through a descriptive exploratory research, and data collection was performed through interviews and questionnaires to the stakeholders with the theme - entities and associations, professionals from health, representatives of NGOs and people with disabilities. The data collected through the interviews and technical visits were analyzed and compared in order to understand the opinion of the segments interviewed regarding public policies that Itapetininga offers individuals with disabilities. The main findings indicate that Itapetininga has few public policies geared to people with disabilities, and also that currently there are few jobs that are developed in relation to the professional context of these individuals. It was also identified during the survey, the public policies adopted in the city are relatively new, and many are still in their early stages, which in turn demonstrates the precariousness of public services provided to citizens in Itapetininga.
