Resumo: dc.description.abstractIt is estimated today that school construction form citizens capable to participate in society who are inserted of critically and consciously. For this, it is necessary that the future citizen has information, among then, those from chemical knowledge, related to the technological advances and the environment, among others. But, all this construction process of chemical knowledge has been facing some problems, as disinterest and desmotivation of high school students in learning chemistry. Students say that cannot see no relationship between chemistry and everyday life, not understanding the need to study this course. This work aims to verify the perception of high school students about the teaching of chemistry in state schools in Pato Branco – Paraná, from a study of surveys and interviews. With a completion of this work was possible to see that students still have difficulties to understand the contents of chemical. They do not feel secure about the same and miss resources that optimize the learning process, which is still widely used in the classroom. Even getting the majority of responses “sometimes” means that still needs to be worked and the students still don´t see connection between chemistry and everyday life.pt_BR
