texto de dissertação final - Raquel.pdfThis work is linked to the research line: Educational Practices in Vocational and Technological Education (EPT), and is part of Macroproject 2: Inclusion and Diversity in Formal and Informal Educational Spaces in EPT. It aims to analyze how prejudice and gender stereotypes influence the selection and retention of girls and women in the Electrical Engineering technical program at the Federal Institute of Sergipe – Aracaju Campus. The theoretical framework is based on discussions about vocational education, gender relations, women's inclusion in the world of work, and gender inequalities in vocational training. This is a case study with a qualitative approach, using document analysis and interviews as methodological procedures. For interpretation, we used discourse analysis to understand the participants' narratives and the institutional dynamics involved. Based on the results obtained, it is possible to propose strategies that favor increased female participation in the field, contributing to equal access to education and professional opportunities for girls and women. The research also identifies gaps in course offerings and suggests improvements that encourage students who wish to pursue careers in the field of Electrical Engineering to remain.6,33 MBAdobe PDF/bitstream/capes/1133845/2/texto de dissertação final - Raquel.pdfDownload
