Descrição: dc.descriptionO presente trabalho teve como um de seus objetivos discutir a participação feminina na política, levando em conta os aspectos psicológicos implicados em sua escolha. Além deste, foi também intuito deste estudo conhecer a opinião de estudantes universitários sobre a participação política da mulher, entendendo quais os significados de gênero presentes nas falas destes estudantes. Neste trabalho, assumimos a perspectiva tomada em trabalhos anteriores por Fávero (1991, 1997, 2001, 2005, 2007), propondo-nos a entender o desenvolvimento humano não como um processo universal, mas como um caminho que também se trilha a partir de modelos de pensamento veiculados nos variados contextos sócio-histórico-culturais. Sob essa ótica, entendemos que o desenvolvimento humano é marcado, entre outros fatores, pela hierarquia de gênero presente nas relações entre homens e mulheres e pela permanência de princípios patriarcais na normatização das interações entre o universo masculino e o feminino, a começar pela diferenciação nos processos de socialização de meninos e meninas. Para o desenvolvimento do estudo, foram realizadas duas etapas de pesquisa que transcorreram simultaneamente. Uma delas envolveu a realização de grupos focais com estudantes de quatro áreas do conhecimento, a saber: Direito, Psicologia, Educação Física e Administração. Os grupos focais foram formados por um número de cinco a sete estudantes, homens e mulheres, e suas interlocuções foram registradas em áudio e vídeo e submetidas à análise dos atos da fala, segundo proposta de Fávero (2000). A outra etapa envolveu a realização de entrevistas com mulheres candidatas às eleições municipais de 2008 ou com mulheres não candidatas à época, porém participantes ou ex-participantes em funções políticas. Ao todo, foram entrevistadas cinco mulheres e suas narrativas foram tomadas como unidade de análise para acesso às suas biografias e para a compreensão dos processos desenvolvimentais implicados em suas trajetórias políticas. A análise dos resultados obtidos a partir das interlocuções nos grupos focais sugere a permanência da naturalização das diferenças de gênero no modo de atuar politicamente e a percepção da atuação feminina como mais idealista, afetiva e correta que a atuação masculina. Há também a percepção da política como um sistema incorpóreo manipulado por homens, que submetem a mulher à normatização por eles imposta. A política de quotas para a candidatura feminina foi percebida como ação discriminatória e não como ação inclusiva. Quanto à análise do material das entrevistas, foi possível perceber pelos dados biográficos que as entrevistadas constituíram-se como sujeitos em meio a um contexto marcado pela presença de princípios patriarcais. Isso se refletiu no modo como essas mulheres entendem a divisão dos papéis de gênero e as características de sua atuação política. Em se tratando dos estudantes universitários e de suas interlocuções marcadas pela hierarquização dos atributos masculinos e femininos, uma reflexão importante a ser feita a partir desse estudo diz respeito ao modo como a escola vem tratando (ou não) as questões de gênero. Além disso, tomando a fala das entrevistadas também foi possível refletir sobre a necessidade de tomada de consciência quanto à maneira como a hierarquia de gênero pode produzir o alijamento feminino das instâncias decisórias de compartilhamento do poder. __________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT-
Descrição: dc.descriptionThis paper had as one of its goals to discuss the female participation in politics, taking into account the psychological aspects involved in women’s choice for this field of work. In addition to that, it was also purpose of this study to know the opinion of college students about the women’s political participation, understanding what are the meanings of gender present in these student’s discourses. In this work, we assume the perspective taken in previous works by Fávero (1991, 1997, 2001, 2005, 2007), proposing to understand the human development not as a universal process, but as a way that can also be tracked from models of thinking spread in a varied of socio-historical-cultural contexts. Under this point of view, we understand that human development is marked, among other factors, by the hierarchy of gender present in the relationships between men and women, and by the permanence of patriarchal principles in the ruling of interactions between the male and the female universe, beginning with the differences in the socialization processes of boys and girls. For the development of this study, two stages of research happened simultaneously. One of them involved the creation of focus groups that assembled students from four areas of knowledge, namely: Law, Psychology, Physical Education and Business. The focus groups were made up of a number of five to seven students, men and women, and their interlocutions were recorded on audio and video and submitted to analysis of the speech acts, according to Fávero’s proposal (2000). The other stage involved some interviews that were done with women that were candidates for the municipal elections of 2008 or with women that were not candidates at that time, but with a history of performance in the political arena. Five women were interviewed, and their narratives were taken as a unit of analysis to access to their biographies and to understand the developmental processes that are part of their political trajectories. The analysis of the results obtained from the interlocutions of the focus groups suggest the permanence of the naturalization of gender differences in the way of acting politically and the perception of the female's role as more idealistic, affective and correct than the male’s role. There is also the perception of the politics as an incorporeal system manipulated by men that submit women to imposed rules. The policy of quotas for female candidates was perceived as a discriminatory action and not as an inclusive action. Regarding the analysis of the material from the interviews, it was possible to realize by the biographical data the interviewed women as subjects in a context marked by the presence of patriarchal principles, what reflected in how these women understand the division of gender roles and the characteristics of their political performances. In the case of the college students and their interlocutions marked by male and female attributes, an important consideration to be done from this study is related to how school is dealing (or not) with the issues of gender. Furthermore, using the speech of the interviewees it was also possible to think about the necessity of being conscious of how the hierarchy of gender can produce the female removal from the decision-making bodies of sharing power.-
