Descrição: dc.descriptionABSTRACT: Due to the changes in the electrical power sector, to the more restrictive environmental demands, and also to the incentives offered to the use of alternative energy sources or clean energy, the feasibility of PCHs (Small Hydroelectric Power Plants) is becoming easier. In this scenario Cemig has launched the program called “Programa Minas PCH”, in order to look for partners for settlement of PCHs, through the creation of Especific Purpose Societies, whose stockholders would be CEMIG himself, companies authorized by ANEEL and investors. The first project that had its agreement process completed and its works started was the PCH Cachoeirão, on a partnership with Santa Maria Energética. This PCH will have its production limited to 27MW, and also a dam covering an area of 1,14 km2 , in the Procrane and Alvarenga municipalities, in Minas Gerais. The conversations about the kind of contract, risk responsibilities and the possibilities of sharing them are time and effort-consuming during the phase of contract formatting and, not rare, endure till the end of these contracts. These definitions must take into consideration the characteristics of the entrepreneurs and of the builders, the characteristics of the settlement place, the certainty and safety of the models created, the project characteristics, among others. In order to define the local model, to quantify and qualify the geological risks involved in the works, several definitions and methodologies are being used, but there is no general agreement. Because of this, the geological risk became the major villain in contracts and works, regardless of it size. In order to reduce the uncertainties and to become as clear as possible the risk sharing used for contracts in the “Minas PCH” program, it was developed a methodology for elaborating and consolidating a Report for Geological-Geotechnical Risks. It was a goal to clarify the models used, the definition of elevations and characteristics of the foundation, treatments and the uncertainties observed. The report was attached to the invitation to bid; it was discussed and consolidated between the parts, becoming a part of the contract. This work presents the definitions used and the report prepared, and also analyzes the difficulties and earnings of using this methodology.-
