Descrição: dc.descriptionThe tips of growing nerve axons flatten into growth cones, which are responsible for the navigation and elongation of the nerve toward the target. These sequences are of interactions between neurite growth cones dissociated from the sea hare, Aplysia. These marine invertebrate growth cones are often studied because of their huge size; they can be up to 100 micrometers across (typical vertebrate growth cones are on the order of 10 micrometers across).
