Descrição: dc.descriptionThis movie shows two HeLa cells expressing GFP-Myosin IIA and Ch-Tubulin. The cells have been depleted of mitotic centromere-associated kinesin (MCAK), a microtubule depolymerizer, for 36 hours. The cell on the right proceeds into anaphase and goes through cytokinesis without incident. The cell on the left also proceeds into anaphase but when the cleavage furrow starts to ingress the spindle begins to rock back and forth between the two proto-daughter cells, oscillations that are propelled by cortical myosin. The spindle oscillations eventually dampen and the cell is able to cleave properly, despite extreme membrane blebbing-
