Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe study presented here aims to develop a proposal for improvement on an existing assembly line of the "Surface Mounted Technology" (SMT) on the production line of an electronics company in the city of Almirante Tamandaré, Paraná. It is proposed in this W ork CourseConclusion (TCC) an implementation of study methods and Lean Manufacturing of tools, searching through them find and / or confirm processes that are adding time to processing of the product on the assembly line. The method used in this study is classified asquantitative, characterized by the use of statistical tools, using resources of their own Arena software. It is intended to achieve through the application of quality tools as well as modeling and simulation, through the Arena software, determine which is the best technical /financial proposal to achieve an appropriate distribution of time along the production line, increasing this form, productivity and also reducing, where possible, the existing manual work in SMT line. To prevent that any physical change in the current layout will bring problems in thefunctioning of the SMT line, modeling and simulation were applied like a viable economic alternative for this study. This modeling and simulation used the time spent by current production in their studies, as well as the technical data of the equipment used. These data provided the basis to find and / or confirm the processes that are causing problems on the line. After collecting the data of the current line of productions, simulations with alternatives to the SMT line optimization of the company under study were made. The collected data were checked with statistics methods and then were entered in the Input Analyzer software Arena and curves checked led to functions that were later inserted in the Arena itself for setting the production line under study. This procedure demonstrated that the desired implementation is technically feasible.pt_BR
