Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis monography starts based in the fact observed that practically all consumer goods products (food, cleaning products and toiletries) has in visual communication much of the information about them. Marks, weight, validity, characterization of the products, are information that comes printed on packages, which generally are very similar to each other in relation to their form, as storage solution. So if established the chance, for this study, that people who do not have access to this form of communication may have some difficulty in differentiating packaging and its contents, given the large amount of different items that are offered to consumers in the supermarket chains. Extended research beyond the issue of graphical information, encompassing packa- ging consumption by blind people in General. To understand which aspects of packa- ging present themselves as accessibility barriers to purchase and consumption for blind people has been established a methodology based on a tripod: bibliographical study, interviews with blind people and field survey. Through interviews with blind people were able to move closer to the reality in study and tie the concepts studied, in addition to being based on the field survey phase. From this research, the main difficulties were highlighted and some suggestions for affordable packages for blind people, among which it is possible to highlight: the inclusion of Braille in packaging, product differentiation from the packaging format, in addition to issues that do not involve directly the packaging design, but the improvement of customer service in retail outlets, which includes the adequate training of staff. Other ideas emerged in the during the construction of this work, which are as a suggestion to be thoughtful in possible future work, such as as product development that could identify in Braille products at the point of sale. Thus, this work more than organize information, places itself as one step in the process of thinking about packaging design projects more accessible to all consumers.pt_BR
