Avaliação dos níveis de ruído ocupacional do setor de conversão de guardanapos em uma indústria de papel para uso doméstico e higiênico-sanitário

Abstract

One of the main characteristics of the industries is the high environmental noise, which has its origin in the own machines and manufacturing processes, and can be intensified by the excessive concentration of equipment and disorganization of industrial spaces. Given the known ability of noise in causing psychological and physical problems, which includes the hearing loss by the noise, reducing the quality of life of exposed individuals. Thus, this thesis work has as main objective the evaluation of occupational exposure to sound pressure levels on a conversion sector napkins of paper industry for household and hygiene and sanitary conditions, check the attenuation of hearing protection used by employees and the adequacy of regulatory standards relevant to the topic discussed. The evaluation methodology for noise, which was used in the work, is based on the Occupational Hygiene Standard NHO-01 - Technical Procedure for Assessment of Occupational Noise Exposure, Fundacentro, but with the exchange rate and limiters values established by NR-15 establishing the criteria for classification of unhealthy activities, and the data were collected with the aid of a noise dosimeter. To comply with the provisions were made ten noise dosimetry, evaluating three jobs (Shift Leader, Operator and napkins Support), in two different shifts. According to the noise analysis results every ten jobs showed noise levels above 85 dB (A), exposure above the allowable for an eight- hour day without proper hearing protection. Thus we carried out the noise reduction calculation based on the information provided by the manufacturer of hearing protection used by employees, which found the service to limiting values of NR-15, including the level of action established by the NR-9, removing the unsanitary condition set by the noise dosimetry.
