Análise da correlação da exposição ao ruído ocupacional e as ocorrências de acidentes do trabalho, um estudo de caso

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation of occupational noise exposure and the occurrence of accidents at work in a certain industry of plastic. The issue revolved around the verification of the effects and correlations that high noise exposures influence the occurrence of accidents at work and sought to prove whether or not there is increased incidence of accidents where noise is present. Its main objective is to verify the existence of a relationship between the occurrence of accidents and noise exposure in a particular industry Plastic and specific objectives: to identify the sectors where more accidents in a period of 04 (four) occurred years and analyze data on accidents at work by gender, shift, function, injured limbs and sound pressure levels. The research methodology consisted of literature, documentary research and fieldwork followed the following path: to develop the first survey was delimited the research problem, we sought to further develop the literature review of the topics they addressed the problem in question. Subsequently sought to obtain comprehensive data on the company, sectors involved and data instances of accidents, mostly caused or aggravated by sound pressure levels. Following graphs were drawn to illustrate the data obtained. Finalizing the survey analysis of consolidated results were made comparing the accidents arising from or aggravated by the sound pressure levels. It was shown that the more "noisy" environments of the enterprise the incidence of accidents is immediately superior compared to other sectors where the environments are more "silent", ie, exposure below the limit of tolerance and action level 80 dB (A), where 67% of the accidents occurred at levels of exposure to noise above the tolerance limit - 85 dB (a) - established by law.
