Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe system of production and transmission of electric power in Brazil is a large hydrothermal system, with a strong predominance of hydroelectric plants. These plants are complex facilities with many electromechanical equipment energized at different voltages from millivolts values of up to thousands of volts. Thus these facilities have a diverse source of danger, especially electricity, making the maintenance and operation of these facilities typically require specialized and well trained staff, in order to ensure the safety of employees. Accidents with electricity represent a large proportion of accidents occurring in Brazil and the damage caused by electric shocks vary depending on various factors, but when it comes to industrial facilities, the consequences for humans are very serious or fatal. This work aims to make a diagnosis, based on Norm NR-10 on the premises of the power house of a generating plant for electricity in the State of Paraná, in order to demonstrate the correct practice of the studied company regarding the care of their standard. The methodology consisted of developing a "check list" with all the requirements of NR-10, and through meetings with company representatives, research and direct observation, care or not these requirements was being diagnosed, as well as evidence their greetings. It was noticed that the company already has control measures, work procedures, training, updated documentation, etc., and other mechanisms to minimize the risks of working with electricity. Even with all the effort seen in meeting NR-10, the diagnosis concluded that this standard is not fully met in UHE XXX , for the thirteen (13) of NR-10 requirements that must be met, whether, from the requirement to 10.2 requirement 10.14, five (5) of them are fully met, and eight (8) are not met fully or partially. In more detail, we might infer that the one hundred and twenty (120) items that must be met, which has thirty-nine (39) are not met, and that eighty-one (81) are met, representing thus a coefficient of compliance with NR - 10 of 67.5 %pt_BR
