Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe discourse on environmental degradation, globalization, society, politics and culture is increasingly present in educational environments, with the intention to developing ways to educate citizens more able and aware, so the present work aims to reflect and highlight e the importance of ecopedagogy and environmental education in science education and understand the concept of theory/movement ecopedagogy. Environmental education is present in education since the early days, ecopedagogy emerged at the end of 20th century as a movement based on the ideas of Moacir Gadotti based on work of Francisco Gutiérrez that today is managed by Paulo Freire Institute, she came with the intention of combining the environmental education for the formation of a citizen concerned about environmental issues, social and cultural rights, in which the three factors come together so that the planet is sustainable so that everyone has the same rights and respect as well as you know whether the respect planet. For the ecopedagogy and environmental education and gain strength in education and in science education necessary to reorientation of curriculum and preparation of educators and the school in order to rethink their practices transmission of knowledge is not mechanized and that can contribute to the formation of a planetary citizen. The study shows that education is the tool to spread the presupposition of ecopedagogy and environmental education through the teaching of science, and that the ecopedagogy complements the environmental education in order to contribute to the training of students.pt_BR
