Resumo: dc.description.abstract | This work had as its theme the survey on Environmental Education (EE) in science education by probing 9th graders of elementary school State School Fernandes Manuel Albaladejo, Sumaré-SP. Environmental issues have been the subject of much debate worldwide. One of the ways found to reverse the degradation of the environment is the inclusion in the community through environmental education, with the goal of forming conscious and aware citizens, committed to environmental principles. The aim of this study was to diagnose as the School that has worked on awareness and change of students in order to probe the failures and successes in promoting EE. The main findings were: the term environment is not yet clear to the students, many students associate only with nature and others can not define; with respect to EE received in school, 65% claim to be good and great, but about 22% of students still show little concern for the environment; Another interesting result is related to household attitudes, where about 80% of students said they sometimes or always take long bath, and approximately 90% sometimes or always leave more than an appliance connected while demonstrating little concern regarding the use of water and energy, showing that the same does not properly associate their actions and are not effectively sensitized with EE. Education is a process that needs to be worked in stages gradually, so awareness should be linked and interconnected in the educational process so that students understand that EE is part of their lives and accompany them at all times. | pt_BR |
