Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work had as its theme the use of new technologies applied to the teaching of geometry. The methodology’s study is characterized by a qualitative research using bibliographic approach to and treatment of the objects of this work. To collect data in a search indexes in the databases Scielo, Portal. Peridicos Capes and Google Scholar data, with descriptors were used: education; geometry and software. At the end 15 were sampled works (n = 15). To the development of literature chapters of the study were: the informatic and brasilian education, Technological advances, the teaching of mathematics, the teaching of geometry, dynamic geometry, and geometry software. Sequence was designed in part was intended to information, description and exemplification of software applied in teaching geometry, in particular Cabri and Geogebra-Geometre. The results showed various activities and possibilities of action for teaching geometry through the use of educational software. Besides the dynamic interface interactivity that offer software and manipulation capabilities are attractive to better teaching and greater student interest. We concluded that the use of new technologies aids in student learning. The vast majority of studies point contributions in the use of software to overcome the difficulties and progress in reasoning and abstraction concepts.pt_BR
