Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work was subject to the Environmental Education and Science Teaching taking into account the importance of teacher training in historical and critical perspective and how it can contribute to environmental education is treated in a critical and reflective way related to political, economic and social. A literature and field research was conducted, a questionnaire containing ten questions related to environmental education theme for twelve science teachers from the final years of elementary school in the city of Goioerê-PR in order to portray as has been given to educational practices of teachers and consider whether the lessons of Environmental Education have provided to overcome the gap between theory and practice, as well as its application in current society. Given the survey we can conclude that most environmental education classes are restricted to the classroom. Few field activities are held, projects and other activities that allow the contextualization of the subject Environmental Education. Rarely this has been developed together with teachers of other subjects, thereby promoting interdisciplinarity.pt_BR
