Aquisição da habilidade oral em segunda língua através de práticas refletidas a partir da aquisição da língua materna

Abstract

This article deals with the acquisition of oral skill in second language from the neurological model grounded in the mimesis of the mother tongue (L1) acquisition. Drawing a parallel and showing possible differences between the two. The objective was to determine whether a teaching practice based on the mimesis of orality could promote in the student an efficient way for this acquisition. It is noteworthy in this study the oral acquisition of L2 - from the scope that privileges the natural, intuitive and subconscious mimesis of assimilation of oral and auditory communication even in adult learners. It takes into account, mainly the auditory part and the orality. The methodology used was qualitative with a case study, consisting of two recorded interviews with two students who are learning English from different methodologies: the traditional model and the other within the scope of the acquisition of L1. The result of the case study indicates an oral ability development in second language since the respondent 2 presented a number of words four times larger than the respondent 1. The result provokes reflection regarding the teaching of L2, based on acquisition of mother language, and that it may represent a more appropriate practice for oral ability.
