Resumo: dc.description.abstractWith the industrial development and the increasing demand for better quality products and look the textile industry has increased its production every year, and it has generated large amounts of waste, in which the effluent with high concentrations of dye are included. Due to the need to treat increasing waste volumes, new studies have been conducted to the optimization and development of treatment techniques. This paper presents an optimization study of variables that affect the biodegradation process of dye Reactive Black 5 by the basidiomycete Phanerochaete chrysosporium, Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus floridae combined with adsorption on polyurethane foam based planning 22. It was found that the optimum condition for greater adsorption of the dye Reactive Black 5, within the parameters previously set was 50 mg L-1 at pH 6, reaching 92.4% efficiency. Among the three fungi mentioned above, an experiment was conducted to evaluate the ability of discoloration and radial growth, Phanerochaete chrysosporium was the most effective reaching 9,712 mm.dia-1 at a concentration of 50 mg L-1 at pH 6. Evaluation biodegradation in the respirometer Bartha confirmed that Phanerochaete chrysosporium is able to develop, with the value of cumulative production of CO2 equal to 490.93 mg of CO2 produced only with the dye as a nutrient source.pt_BR
