A sustentabilidade e o plano diretor municipal

Abstract

Sustainable development is one that seeks not to compromise the ability and the environment for future generations. The environmental protection became a permanent value to society. These variables were included in the City Statute that was the key to making the master plan the principal means of ensuring the implementation of these and other instruments by municipalities, strengthening the capacity of director transforming urban reality TV factor. Therefore, this paper addresses the relationship between the sustainability of a municipality and its master plan. The methodology used for the development of this work was to consult the references on the subject, together with descriptions of lessons learned during the development of the master plan for a city in northern Paraná. From the studies, it was found that the elaborate design of the master plan and its implementation instruments constitute themselves in the best form of management with a vision to transform the urban reality, given the concerns of the community and significantly contributing to sustainability.
