Resumo: dc.description.abstractIt is known that our planet is mostly water. But only 1 % of this amount is available for consumption, much of which lies in underground aquifers. The importance of water in all aspects of human activities is well known. The water availability is the basic condition for the survival of men, animals and plants and also important element to social instability and economic development. Rainwater is an ally, but do not know the rational use of this natural advantage, because with the installation of a cistern can reduce up to large proportions. In recent years it has suffered greatly from the drought that has been affecting our region, so no need to store water that falls from rooftops, which water decreases the costs of collection and treatment, which in these cases is wasted. The tanks are reservoirs of water, can be cooked that are simpler and more efficient, usually small. Regarding the size of the tanks depends on according to the number of people in their establishment and on the size of the roof. Shells of tanks are filled with water captured from roofs by pipes on rainy days. The capture of rainwater can be very reduce the use of treated water, thereby increasing much longer potable water for purposes that do not require treatment. We know that in many countries the drinking water scarcity synonymous with radical. Our Brazil is a country where most amount of freshwater in the world. Conduct a survey of water consumption as well as raise awareness about the importance of water and propose the deployment of system utilization of rainwater for cleaning the building, this was the general objective of the project. With this also in view of the importance of water we have to reduce the consumption of potable water; Promote environmental awareness in residents; Using rainwater for cleaning the building; Reduce expenses in potable water consumption. In this paper we presented and analyzed the data obtained from the assembly of residents took up the project proposal for an economy to be performed in water consumption of the building This study purposed to see which is the perception of the residents of the building as the high water consumption, because their perception that report that water consumption is very high even when it is done cleaning the building and this project of building a cistern to capture rainwater for use cleaning the building will greatly facilitate.pt_BR
