Gerenciamento de resíduos sólidos urbanos: panorama da coleta seletiva no município de Concórdia - SC

Abstract

This study aims to understand and analyze the selective collection of solid waste from human activities in the urban area of Concórdia - SC. For that aimed to investigate how the population is getting rid of domestic waste collection and how these are happening in the city. The reference was restricted to solid waste arising from purely domestic activities that are directly linked to the socioeconomic aspects of the municipality. The circuit of waste normally formalizes to regulate the activities of collection, transportation and final discharge. Often, it's a waste that is not recycled or treated , and disposed of only in open pit deposits, known mostly as " dump " and are made only at locations chosen by the criteria of availability of area in the county and distance from the urban center and the same access routes. With the development of this study we sought to learn more about this subject, already widely discussed, even by force of law, and show that the effects from the absence of a healthy practice for people on the separation at source, will significantly aggravate the degradation of the environment and quality of life. From the analysis conducted on the topic, begin to build consensus, and among these, is the fact that environmental education is an ongoing and constant process of education, the more they involve different dimensions of thinking and acting human.
