Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work was themed as a study of playfulness as a teaching resource in the psychomotor development of the child. The psychomotor is seen as an instrument to help the child overcome difficulties in the classroom and also provide students with some minimal conditions to achieve good school performance, helping the child overcome difficulties and inadequacies related to reading and writing in first years of their schooling. The objective of this research was to present the conception about the play as a teaching resource in the development and early learning, reflecting on the play as a pedagogical resource directed to psychomotor development, discussing the importance of psychomotor development of the child and stimulating reflections on the role of the educator in their practice. A pedagogical action is necessary because the school seeks to improve the quality of education by promoting a more meaningful learning. Therefore, a literature search was performed, through books, websites, magazines and seeking knowledge, theoretical foundation aiming to guide the work of professionals who work with school-age children.pt_BR
