Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work had as its theme the teaching modality EJA - education of youth and adults under the vision of educator and pioneer of education for youth and adults, Paulo Freire, addressing the main results through field research, seeking to understand the methodology and which their contributions to this type of education. The research was conducted in school Jaime Canet, located in the city from Paraná, in the street Ettore Giovine, s/n, Garden St. Christopher, whose aim is to identify which methodology applied by professionals who are dedicated to the group of youngsters and adults, and knowledge that they have methodologies that contribute to this type of education, based on the studies so the educator Paulo Freire. Data were collected from students and the teacher (a) primary school 1, which comprises a group of 24 students aged from fifteen (15) years, and only one teacher, where the respective school serves a group of serial education of youth and adults so that meets the cycle one (1) and two (2) comprising 1st to 4th year. With studies of the works of Paulo Freire, based on their teaching methodology, work was carried out continuous observation, interview questionnaire enclosed with the teacher (a), and students report questionnaire accompanied by dialogue, which produced diagnostic sample collected. This research serves as knowledge and identification as in the education of youth and adults - EJA, today , and what is the contribution to the learning and lives of students , in order to reflect and review the methodology, reviewing the true role school in society.pt_BR
