A importância da afetividade na relação professor/aluno para o desenvolvimento da aprendizagem

Abstract

This work was based on the role of affectivity in the relationship between teacher and student since there had been an increasing amount of frequent conflicts between teachers and students in classroom and the obtaining of poor results in the learning process. These situations have caused affectivity to gain prominence and fundamental importance in the teaching process. The issue has been seen by scholars as a way to achieve good school results and consequently good student education. For a better understanding of the influence of affectivity in the lives of human beings it is necessary to comprehend the history that runs through generations, that is, the history of mankind, which highlights the theories of Wallon, Vygotsky and Libâneo. The stages of cognitive development according to Piagetian theory are also listed in this work as well as the teaching trends and a reflection on affectivity in each one of them. Finally, we report the experience in the classroom with a student from special education and how affectivity had a fundamental influence on the educational process of this student, reversing a psychological framework initially pointed as severe to a framework considered mild.
