Abstract

This work had as its theme the importance of using different textual genres in literacy of students in the early grades of elementary school, now called the First Cycle or Cycle I. The children of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years should receive the end of this cycle, a process teaching / learning which enable them to read, write and understand the literate world around them with mastery and fluency. Until then witness and even witnessed students who can read but do not understand the reading, ie, has the mastery of the written code, but has not developed the ability to understand the languages, the information contained in what you read. In this study it was observed that the use of textual genres explored in a playful way with innovative methodologies and educational activities that encourage students' thinking about the medium of which it is part , brings a consistent learning and an important literary consciousness early in our students , more than learning the writing system, code , signs seize their duties in their daily lives.
