Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe ludic assists the educator in the challenge to teach, and play can teach since it allows working with different languages, which makes the meaning of concepts and the child is able to construct their own knowledge. During the game the child has the opportunity to learn and develop, experiment and interact with their peers, with the teacher. Thus, the content of this work is organized through a literature search and had as its theme a study on aspects of playfulness in the teaching learning process with the main objective to analyze the importance of play in early childhood education, understanding work with play activities by analyzing how the contribution of play and play in children's development of early childhood education process. The study was based on the theoretical concepts of authors of great expression as Vygotsky, Santos Ferreira, Kishimoto, Rojas, Wajskop and others. The research focuses on the concept of play, the contribution of play and games in the development process of children, both in the cognitive aspect and the aspect of imagination and creativity and seeks to establish the importance of the educator's role in this process, which must be in continuing education including their practice in the classroom.pt_BR
