Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work has as its theme the affectivity in early childhood education, the goal is to discuss the importance of affectivity in the teaching and learning process, and its implications on child development. Today relations established in the school space are increasingly difficult, taking many times the disbelief of the school as a space for knowledge construction, where they can form subject conscious, participatory, human, sympathetic. In this context we stress the importance of stimulating the affectivity in students of early childhood education, the vital link between cognitive and affective aspects, affectivity as a fundamental factor in the relationship between teacher and student and the whole school environment, that relationship must be based on mutual respect, understanding and autonomy for the formation of full citizens. For it was conducted a bibliographical research through studies of various authors who consider the affectivity important factor in child development, in addition to a field research, conducted through a questionnaire applied to teachers of one early childhood Center, with questions geared to affectivity and their importance to the learning of the child. Through this search you can check that the school as an institution that the child shall attend in addition to the family must provide a healthy, pleasant environment, where the student feel good to be and can develop fully. The teacher in this environment is a fundamental part, is a link that enables the integral formation of the student, building him an affective relationship based on dialogue, understanding and mutual respect.pt_BR
