Resumo: dc.description.abstract | The microbiology teaching is a challenge for many teachers and a long time ago stopped being restricted to unniversities, and became a topic constantly discussed in issues of sanitation, citizenship, including reported in technological media when related to population health, such as food outbreaks. The responsibility for ensuring learning, of biology discipline, it’s mainly up to subject teacher. But in case of the brazilian public school, where there’s no support or ensuring the construction of adequate microbiology laboratories to demonstrate that science, is difficult pass to student the dimension of what is na advanced growth of microrganisms. The bacterial exponential growth and this demonstration can be adequated mathematically. With this, this study aimed to evaluate the reality of mathematics teaching in the public schools of the city of Medianeira – PR and quantify the opinions of teachers about the possibility of teaching the microrganisms growth are enhanced through mathematical modeling activities, which dispense infrastructure and only requires thetheme to be proposed that will determine the problems and results. For that were interviewed through two questionnaires, 11 mathematics teachers from public schools. The first questionnaire served as teachers presentation to verify the biggest difficulties in teaching mathematics. The second questionnaire brought questions about specific activities especially in relation of development of mathematical modeling activities and the classification of student development after the activities. Through the literature review it was possible to draw up a practical of mathematical modeling that was applied in the second questionnaire for teacher evaluation on the feasibility of application in the classroom. Was found that the largest share 55% applies mathematical modeling activities in classroom. Between the difficulties in implementing the activities of this type are excessive content of the discipline, unpreparedness, lack of time for preparing lessons and motivation. In relation to the model proposed to modeling the microrganisms growth, 81,81% of teachers believe that model can be full feasibility for implementation in the classroom. | pt_BR |
