Resumo: dc.description.abstractIn science education, the classes are essential for learning, however, the trial should not only be used as a method of confirming theories, should be a tool to aid apprehension of knowledge. The use of practical lessons can facilitate learning as the student participates in the construction of knowledge in an active way, which makes learning more meaningful for him to observe, seek, investigate, attitudes that are fundamental to the understanding of natural phenomena. This work had as its theme the importance of the experiment for science education in early elementary school fundamental objectives: To collaborate with the construction of new knowledge, Object or confirm existing knowledge about the use of the experiment in the classroom and understand the concept of teaching experiments and the importance of its use in the classroom. The methodology presented a qualitative approach - descriptive, with data collection, practical activities in the classroom and questionnaires for teachers. As main results, we seek to understand the conception of teaching teachers of the initial series of experiments on the use and meaning of practical lessons for better understanding of content by students. One can understand that there is an understanding of the importance of the experiment and several concepts about its use by teachers, but not everyone uses it in his classes, the use of classes facilitate the learning of scientific content, and also highlight the importance of using experiments, however mediating instrument of knowledge construction and not as confirming the theory.pt_BR
