Resumo: dc.description.abstractUnfortunately, physics subject is reputed to be one of the greatest villains of the learning process at high school , because it needs interpretation and calculation, it is seen by many students as one of the major barriers that negatively influences the overall learning of the subject . So in order to ease the conditions of the teaching-learning process in physics subject, we used a different methodology with students from Electromechanical Technician course at high school, to study if the use of educational resources that instigate the student to contextualize physics in their daily lives facilitates learning. This work had as its theme the construction of heat engines as a resource for a better understanding of thermodynamics concepts, with the goal of inserting a distinguishing feature to see how the students are willing to learn on a challenge presented by the teacher researcher. It was realized that there were many difficulties in performing this work, but otherwise many students have dedicated themselves to build this work and present it, they have demonstrated great interest and a moment of meaningful learning. Therefore, it was found that the construction of heat engines is an alternative that can lead students to learn physics, because they can verify physics in their lives in a clear and practical way. During the research it could be noted that many of the students do not like physics subject, for resembling it to math subject, but when it was taught differently, it facilitates the understanding considerably . Thus, we can state that the method used is feasible in the learning process, but it needs improvement in the method development.pt_BR
