Resumo: dc.description.abstractCorrectly developed motor skills are fundamental inkids' life, and should be focused on mainly in the first and second part of childhood. Motor skills, worked in this dimension, will benefit the future of children. This paper has a goal to analyze the motor skills of kids that practice indoor soccer both federated and non-federated. The comparative method was used in a descriptive way for the execution of this research. The federated players, more exposed to the indoor soccer, denominated as group M1 (n = 24 kids), were compared with those who weren’t federated, denominated as group M2 (n = 26 kids). To check the individual motor skills, the Test of Gross Development– Second Edition (TGMD-2), was applied and proposed by Ulrich (2000). After the collection of data, they were tabulated and then entered into the software Easy TGMD-2 V. 1.0 proposed by Souza (2008) to determine the locomotor skills and control of objects, as well as general motor skills, according to the performance of each participant on the TGMD-2.So, as a next step was applied the descriptive statistic to calculate the average and the pattern deviation of the following variables: chronological age, locomotor age, locomotor delay, age of control of objects, delay of control of objects and the motor quotient, in both groups studied. Posteriorly, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to verify the normality, and the Mann-Whitney test to verify possible differences between both groups (p>0.05). After the analysis of the data, was analyzed the conclusion of that there weren't significant differences in the motor skills between the group M1 and M2. However, it was noted that there was a lower expected motor performance. In both groups, the majority of participants were classified with motor skills lower than the average in all variables. The motor skills of these kids are not in accordance with their chronological age.pt_BR
