Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe concrete autoadensável (SCC) is a concrete process that eliminates the conventional vibration or compaction by having ability to flow and fill the spaces of the form only through its own weight and is considered an evolution of concrete technology. Though, its use is still very small, owing mainly to the lack of standards and measurement methods for determining the proportion of the constituent materials of the mixture, taking into account the economy and rationality, and the lack of trained professionals in the area. Recently, several studies have been performed in order to establish measurement methods to make the SCC a concrete common application. With the aim of comparing the costs of implemen ting this concrete with conventional concrete (CCV), this study evaluated various traits SCC CCV and produced by Manuel (2005) and Tutikian (2007). It was found that SCC, although presenting a higher production cost was obtained at a cost of implementation structure below the CCV. This is because the SCC does not require densification during launch and regularization for the finishing of the surface concreted. When compared to a conventional concrete, mortar with the same content, the self -compacting concrete had similar qualities, but its cost is higher. Thus, this study contributes to a broader knowledge of the SCC, so that it can be safely applied in buildings and work streams of engineering.pt_BR
