Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis thematic work methodologies employed in the work of environmental education in high school, to do this we conducted a bibliographic survey, about the historical context of environmental education, the Brazilian legislation pertinent to the subject matter and methodologies available to serve as a subsidy to high school teachers in their practices related to environmental issues. Since the late 20th century environmental issues gain prominence in society, evidencing that the practices used to date of economic and social development, were seriously jeopardizing the environment, endangering the survival of all life forms, there is so many documents, studies, treaties and agreements between all the countries of the world, targeting an harmonic and sustainable development with the environment. From then on the environmental education WINS space and worked both in formal education (schools, colleges, universities and institutes) and informal (television, radio, internet, lectures, community, training among others), with the goals of forming citizens aware and active in the middle in which he lives, thus enabling both the present and the future generations can enjoy a balanced and healthy environment, as well as ensures the Brazilian legislation. The methodologies in teaching practice are fundamental to reach their goals and to do so it must be attractive, which stimulates the development of the student. With the goal of raising information about some methodologies and teaching techniques employed in the work of environmental education in high school, we conducted a bibliographic survey in order to contribute with the pedagogical practices towards formal environmental education. In this sense, is presented here the questioning methodology and constructivism, in addition to the project methodology, a case that was developed at the Escola Estadual Benedito Valadares, in the city of São Gonçalo do Pará, Minas Gerais, by Angela Dean Macey Nogueira da Silva in his master's thesis.pt_BR
