Resumo: dc.description.abstractCurrently, the practice of hydroponic production is increasingly being used in rural areas as it makes little use of manpower and uses up the water in a rational way. To hold up the hydroponic production in a viable way for family farmers, there is a need of cost studies. To check the cost studies the company considers the classification of costs as direct, indirect, fixed, variable, mixed costs, marketing, inventory, commercial and human resources. As well as the separation of expenditures, expenses, costs and investments were important, other indicators which may be mentioned, as depreciation of cars and greenhouse structures, are relevant for this study. This study was held based on a rural property within the municipality of Santa Helena - PR, which was settled in the hydroponic cultivation of lettuce and arugula, consisting of two greenhouses with installed area of 532 m2 and 210 m2. As the smaller greenhouse (Greenhouse 1) was installed in April, the model that would be used is the hydroponic NFT system (Nutrient film technique). The company is working a little over two years, where it is said that the Greenhouse 2 has capacity for 4850 heads of lettuce and 620 arugula packs. The capacity of Greenhouse 1 would be 2120 heads of lettuce and 400 packs of arugula. From the methodology used, we find the points of higher costs in the company. Though each month had a variance, the months of May and June showed the highest costs. These costs are the depreciation of the car number 2, fuel and packaging. After buying the car number 2 and Greenhouse 1, the cost of funding has increased relatively. Coming to the conclusion, guided by the results, that the studied company will need to review the investment of buying the car number 2 and the Greenhouse 1, because the costs increased since the purchase of and implies in not getting the profits of the months of May and June.pt_BR
