Abstract

This research is a case study in the construction industry. It aims to examine the importance of training the SEH (Safety, Environment and Health of the work) commonly performed for all new employees, before they start working on their roles in the enterprise engineering (construction) where they were admitted. These courses are called Integrated SEH labor ", and aims to bring essential information to all new employees about the standards of the company's S SEH and the risks inherent to the function he performs. In order that provided this information, the developer will initiate the professional activities previously informed of the risks of their activity, and is fully oriented preventive tools to be applied to avoid unwanted situations of risk. It should be noted that for the company, this training also seeks to further develop a “culture of prevention" through the recovery and transfer of information is extremely important in order to guide all new employees about their safety, their health and conservation environment before and during the performance of their work. For the study was a survey conducted preliminary field with 25 professionals need to check the training and what level of knowledge of respondents regarding safety. This research showed that the majority of workers had a great deficiency in knowledge related to SMS from work, because they have not participated in pre-employment training focusing on the prevention of accidents. The second study applied to a group of 10 professionals after training, aimed to identify the results and advances that this action causes workers. With these results, we conclude that the training was effective to workers consulted, on the basis, for example, that over 75% of reviewers consulted were considered able to contribute to the prevention of accidents.
