Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis work studies regarding the process of energy conversion systems for wind power generation. Initially, we present an analysis of how today takes the use of wind energy in Brazil and worldwide, considering that the use of electricity from the wind is growing every day. Next, a modeling of the wind system is presented, from the aerodynamics of the turbine to the electric generator, the generator including mechanical analysis. This modeling is performed in order to develop a simulation tool for these systems using the Matlab/Simulink®. The purpose of this tool is to simulate the electrical variables developed in the stator of a permanent magnet synchronous generator from the different conditions of wind speed. In this case, the generator employed is a differential of this work, since in most studies induction machines are used. It is still displayed, a controller which has the purpose of securing the system to extract the maximum power of the wind, being employed according to the system characteristics. Also, included is a proposed system for simulating the wind from an induction motor driven by a PWM inverter connected to the shaft of the electric generator in order to develop any torque and speed compatible with the speed of the wind turbine wind. Performed the implementation of computational tool, results were obtained for different wind speeds and it was found that the power coefficient remained almost constant around 45%. This result shows that the control system used is able to convert the maximum wind energy in electrical energy, with different wind conditions. Still, the tool allows that various magnitudes are analyzed under these conditions, and can be used for the design of a real wind system.pt_BR
