Resumo: dc.description.abstractAim of this study is to analyze the thermal comfort of containers used as accommodation in a construction company in the city of Curitiba - Paraná. To develop this research we chose to conduct a literature review, in order to acquire knowledge about the use of containers as accommodation on construction sites in the city of Curitiba - PR and its level of thermal comfort. The results of measurements performed on two construction sites located in the northern region of Curitiba - PR and another in Pinhais - PR were obtained using a meter heat stress model of TGD400 Instrutherm brand. From the results obtained with measurements made in three types of containers for construction sites can be seen that the facilities meet the regulation of NR - 18 for accommodation, however, determined the probability of disagreement regarding thermal comfort, as for containers that have simple tile coverage showed high rates of heating and index Wet Bulb Globe Thermometer - WBGT. This conclusion takes account of the time and place of the search. The collected data also showed that the containers that come with double roof coverage featuring the best thermal comfort conditions for use as accommodation for workers at construction sites analyzed. In this research can be influence verify external sources and confirm the existing heat effect of the warming influence on the index and index Wet Bulb Globe Thermometer, both in the case of maritime containers as containers covered by a simple tile. It is concluded that the containers are adaptable and flexible to meet the most distinct uses elements having a practical system for assembly and disassembly, transportation facility , enabling the mobilization is done in a short period of time. This, coupled with the possibility of full utilization of the material, durability, ease of modification and maintenance quick enable a high ratio of costs and benefits compared with wood or masonry buildings in situations that require changing, and so are widely used.pt_BR
