Condições de segurança no transporte comercial de animais de estimação em meio urbano

Abstract

The Pet shops Sector is getting economic importance in Brazil but unfortunately go unprepared in safety of the pets transport. There is no Regulatory Norms, missing information and security accessories for the pet use and vehicular use needed improvements and disclosure. Sometimes who pays for this unpreparedness is the animal with its health or its life, but this count can arrive to worker ́s sector too. In an accident, there are four losers: the animal, the driver, the businessman and the pet owner. It is not known how many accidents are occurred, but in this task, where it was visited eight establishments and two operators, there was five accidents, where one of this was serious for the driver and for the dog too. For prevent and minimize risks in this job ́s sector is essential to invest in work safety. So, the goal of this monograph is to characterize the profile offer for vet hospitals, vet clinics, pet shops and taxi pets through by research in Curitiba Town. For this, it was elaborated a survey and the dates were compiled on a excel table. It was concluded that among a universe interviewed in this business segment in Curitiba, 100% by businessman didn ́t know the program about projection of live loads, but they affirmed that know about animal projection in accidents and 100% of the drivers didn ́t manifest any knowledge about. These workers have a serious risk of job and don ́t have knowledge about it. There is an impression that drive a vehicle is only to turn on the key but it is not only this. The next step on accelerator will be the difference for the animal and the step on brake too, the box (kennel) stability and how to road on the curve and the velocity. The missing training about live loads in the urban space is visible and lacks many measures of the Responsible Agency for regulation for the establishments imposing measures of the accidents prevention during the transport about animals and drivers.
