Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis research refers to the teaching of chemistry to deaf students and challenges generated - and solved - by issues of language. For that, if accompanied for two weeks, the process of teaching and learning of a deaf student in High School Chemistry classes in a public school in the city of Pato Branco. It is a fact that education can and should be a key tool in promoting social inclusion, in addition, when it comes to students with special needs, as in the case of deaf students. However, this inclusion necessarily involves the acquisition and development of a unique language that, in the case of deaf people, occurs through the Libras.
