Resumo: dc.description.abstract | Talks with chemsitry teachers from public schools in Curitiba, observations during classes and internet research were done in order to elaborate a paperon new ways to teach chemistry. It was obvious the students’ difficulty with learning the Periocid Table. This difficulty can be mainly related to the lack of interest and can be a problem not only during the exams, but also in other courses,trying to get into college, and during everyday life. In order to make learning about the Periodic Table more interesting, the following steps were taken: first all the topics related to the subject that appear in the High-school National Exam (ENEM) and in the questions of Federal University of Parana (UFPR) between the years 2011 and 2013 were reviewed. Concurrently, two classes of first year students from technical courses of the Technological Federal Univeristy of Parana (UTFPR - campus Curitiba) were selected and two classes from the state school Padre Silvestre Kandora were choosen to be a part of new method developed by this paper. For this project, 4 phases were needed. First, an evaluation on the level of students’ knowledge about the subject, then the classes were prepared accordingly to be teached in the next step in the pre-established dates and time. Second, the classes were tauhgt. Third, two educational games were preseted in one of the classes from each school and last an final evaluation exam and survey were done in all the classesso that the method can be assessed. The games’s name were “RPS of Periodic Table” and “Table” and were done by UTFPR students. According to the results, using games to teach about the periodic table is effective and can enhance the understanding in a pleasant and efficient way. | pt_BR |
