Resumo: dc.description.abstractThis Working End of Course aims to investigate the process of literacy in High School, it seek to identify the level of literacy of students graduating from basic education cycle. For this, a literature review of the processes of literacy in teaching Portuguese was performed, as well as the study of the National Curriculum Guidelines and the Paraná Curriculum Guidelines to verify the legal guidelines on the subject. For research, were developed and applied instruments to collect data for analysis. The instruments were questionnaires and textual production from the students. From the collected material and the reading of official documents, the comparison of what is proposed in the official documents with the information collected in the target class was held. The comparison showed differences between pedagogical practice and the legal advice previously studied. At the end of the research and work with school genres in the classroom, it was found an improvement in students' textual productions.pt_BR
