Resumo: dc.description.abstract | Studies show that Brazil is the largest producer of sugarcane in the world, the biomass of sugarcane has stood out not only for ethanol production, but also for the generation of electricity. The electricity generated in the biofuels industry is of great environmental importance, as well as become self sufficient in energy sector still produces surplus. Another important factor is that the excess energy entering the electricity sector in months that the country suffers from low rainfall, helping to save the reservoir of the hydroelectric plants. This study aims to estimate the electricity generated in 10 sugarcane mills in the state of Paraná in the 2012/2013 harvest, by calculation. The 10 plants processed 24.475.828 tonnes of sugarcane, generated 6.118.958 tons of sugar cane bagasse, had an estimated planted area of approximately 352.642 hectares. It is estimated that the plants produced 2.349.679 MWh / year, and of this total 1.958.066 MWh / year can be sold to utilities. The residential electricity consumption in 2012 in the state of Paraná as the National Energy Balance (2013) was 6.654 million MWh, considering the estimated production of electricity for export of 10 plants analyzed, they could contribute to 1.958.006 MWh / year, approximately 29% of residential consumption, it shows how the generation of electricity from sugarcane sector is important in the energy matrix of Paraná. The classification as the total sugar cane processed, shows that 5 of the 10 plants analyzed were classified as high average. A classification performed by the National Supply Company South-Central region, except the state of São Paulo, in 2009/2010 harvest has 7 plants classified as medium high, which proves how much the state of Paraná is representative in cane production sugar in the country. | pt_BR |
