Resumo: dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this monograph is to promote understanding of the communication aspect of the institution and identify how students learned of the existence of a subordinate to the Ministry of Education in the region federal educational institution. Pointing actions disclosure and advertising sponsored by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo - IFSP in the region, under the provisions of Law 12232/2012, of communication theories, principles of public administration and institutional strategic planning. To this end, a literature and document the legal and administrative aspects and the relevant theoretical subject, focusing on the actions taken on the campus of São José dos Campos was performed. Research results showed that action planning and determination of the Institution guideline of major events designed to give them visibility, it is the prerogative of the Dean (Dean School). Hiring the providers of official advertising and vestibular is conducted through contracts with administrative exemption or waiver of bidding, leaving the Campi operational support. It was found that most students learned of the institution over the internet, or by referral from known. It can be said that the actions of communication must be integrated, because they have strategic value to the institution in the provision of services in fulfillment of its mission, respecting the values it believes to accomplish the stated mission.pt_BR
